  • The startup impact benchmark is a research initiative developed by a team working at the MIT Sloan Sustainability Initiative and at the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the Technical University Berlin.

  • The tools and methods developed attempt to meet the high standards and rigor necessary for scientific publishing with the practice oriented usability to assure developed tools are attractive for use by those who need them.

  • The impact measurement tools build strongly on existing approaches in impact measurement (particularly social return on investment), lean startup and the business model canvas, complemented with tools and methods developed by the research team and its advisory board.

  • Based on high interest from multiple stakeholders including startups, investors, accelerators and policy and in order to achieve a high impact from this project, this website was launched to share the developed tools with the public and to serve as a knowledge platform focusing on impact measurement and impact forecasting for startups.
